I served as the editor for this issue of the Ms. Aligned series on the topic of coming of age. None of my own writing is here, but each work does hold a piece of my editorial heart! Don’t miss this unique collection of women and nonbinary writers of poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction! Purchase Ms. Aligned 4 here.
“A Breath of Plankton Soup” appears in the Spring 2021 issue of The Massachusetts Review. It’s a story about monsters and men. The issue includes a beautiful and sobering photography series by Adrienne Waheed on the Black Lives Matter protests in the United States, and an interview with the artist. The issue is . . . really something, and I can’t quite believe my story is included. Purchase it here.
“Fe’s Anatomy” appears in North Dakota Quarterly Issue 87.3/4. Yet another firecracker list of writers and artists! And that cover. The journal is available now from—stay with me—University of Nebraska Press. Purchase NDQ 87.3/4 here.
“Crocodile Teeth” appears in Ms. Aligned 3: Women Writing About Men (El Leon Literary Arts and The Manoa Foundation/Manoa Books 2020)–along with 19 other stories by authors with whom I am proud to appear. Purchase Ms. Aligned 3 here.
